Who is Xenical for ?

Xenical is approved for use in the treatment of obesity. Xenical should be used along with calorie restriction, increased physical activity, and behavioral changes.

When should I be careful taking Xenical ?

Before taking Xenical,

• tell your doctor if you have a malabsorption syndrome or cholestasis
• tell your doctor if you have hypersensitivity to Orlistat or medication
• Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, hypothyroidism, gallbladder problems, or are anorexic or bulimic.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or are breast feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Xenical, call your doctor immediately.
• Tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially cyclosporin, drugs used to lower cholesterol, warfarin (Coumadin), or Antidiabetic agents.

Xenical Side Effects

Side effects are not common with Xenical, but may include;

• Gas
• Fecal urgency
• Fatty/oily stools
• Increased defecation
• Fecal incontinence
