BLADDER CANCER PROGNOSIS

When detected at the early stages, the prognosis for bladder cancer is excellent. At least 94% of the people survive five years or more after initial diagnosis. However, if the disease has spread to the nearby tissues, the survival rates drop to 49%. If it has metastasized to distant organs such as the lung, and the liver, commonly only 6% of the patients will survive five years or more.
