GASTRITIS
DEFINITION |
|
|
|
Gastritis is the medical term for
inflammation of the stomach. In some people it can cause very bad
stomach pain, while others may experience no pain at all.
Occasionally, gastritis may lead to the development of a peptic
ulcer, which is a break in the lining of the stomach (also called a
gastric ulcer) or in the duodenum (also called a duodenal ulcer). |
