MIGRAINE
DESCRIPTION |
|
|
|
Migraine is a common
condition, often characterised by a severe, disabling headache,
normally beginning on one side of the head. Associated symptoms
include nausea intolerance of light, sound and noise.
In approximately
20 percent of sufferers the headache is sometimes preceded by an
"aura" – a warning that the main migraine is about to begin. Auras
usually take the form of visual disturbances such as little sparkly
lights, blurred vision, blind spots or even complete loss of vision
for a short while. They can last for up to an hour. |
