PSORIASIS PREVENTION

Psoriasis is a chronic disease. 40-50 percent of patients attending hospital clinics will have periods of remission. The remission is permanent in 10 percent of these patients.

However, many patients with psoriasis can be effectively treated with prescription creams and will never need to attend a dermatologist.

As yet there is no known prevention. However, if you suffer from psoriasis you should avoid anything that triggers an attack and use skin moisturisers to prevent the skin from drying.
